Selecting and purchasing the wood is the first important step involved. At INTONA we do this all in the same wood, with the assistance of forestry professionals.
Splitting
This is done on our own premises, where all the craftsman's experience, taking pains with each individual stave assures, us that there will be no surprises in store when the actual barrels are made two years later.
Curing
An analytical follow-up and weather variables will help us to decide on the curing process and the right time to use the wood.
Personalisation
At INTONA, each order for barrels is made in a personalised process, according to the characteristics of each batch of wood and the demands of the enologist, in accordance with the type of ageing required by each winery for its wine.
